The growth layer of Danish industry largely consists of small and medium sized companies. Most of them family-owned like C.C.Jensen A/S. There are several obvious advantages to family companies: a short line of command and quick adjustment to changing conditions. More often that not the family company is characterized by a strong sense of responsibility: they care for their employees and customers, almost as were they family members. That was true for C.C.Jensen in 1953, just as it is for C.C.Jensen A/S today.
